Mea Maxima Culpa...NOT

CBS has admitted they were wrong and Dan Rather has apologized. Or did they? It seems to me the only thing they have admitted is that they couldn't authenticate the bogus documents they used on 60 Minutes II. The only thing Dan has apologized for is using the documents which had not been authenticated. Of course, they have not admitted that they went out of their way to NOT authenticate the documents. Two of their own experts have said they told CBS the documents were very suspect. The so called witnesses and sources CBS relied on to substantiate the story are either connected to the Democrat Party or have an axe to grind with the President. It stretches the limits of reasonableness to assume that they are just incompetent. There must be some malicious intent here. However, even if you give CBS the benefit of the doubt, the level of incompetence they have displayed in this scandal is sufficient to take away their license to practice journalism.
