Homework?

According to an article on the HoustonChronicle.com website, A Dallas teacher "is on paid administrative leave after sending a first-grader home with feces in his backpack because the boy went to the bathroom on the classroom floor." I realize it's not easy to be a teacher, especially a first grade teacher. But isn't this taking passive-agressive a little too far?

The spoksman for the Dallas school district, Donald Claxton, gets my vote for the spin of the week: "It generally appears the teacher was trying to help raise awareness with the family". It seems to me she was trying to raise a stink with the family.
